This article analyzes the hydrogeological and geomorphological characteristics of the irrigated lands of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, their impact on reclamation status, and the possibilities for GIS-based assessment based on a literature review. In the study, special attention is paid to local and national scientific and practical sources, and the works of scientists conducting research on the region are analyzed
