Abstract
This article analyzes the denotative and connotative meanings of mythological concept units related to human concepts in English and Karakalpak folklore texts from a comparative linguocultural perspective. The study used lexical semantics, conceptual analysis, and comparative methods. The semantic structure of mythological views, their linguocultural transformation, and their cognitive models in national consciousness are illustrated with examples
