This article aims to conduct an in-depth study of the structure, tasks, powers, electoral systems, financial foundations, and effective mechanisms for organizing the activities of local representative bodies in developed and developing foreign countries. Furthermore, based on the analysis of this experience and taking into account the administrative-territorial structure, political-legal system, and socio-economic conditions of Uzbekistan, it is planned to develop specific proposals and recommendations for organizing and improving the activities of local representative bodies
