The article analyzes the development of the legal nature of an arbitration agreement in the context of legal and judicial reforms being carried out in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Changes in approaches to understanding arbitration as a private law institution, as well as its constitutional and legal significance in the system of alternative dispute resolution, are considered
